Two Sussex trades clients, both signed, both filmed, both with the CRM and the landing page already part built. This is the full picture: what exists, what is broken, and exactly what to build next in each account.
The short version, so you know what you are walking into before you open either account.

| Test budget | £40 a day | £20 a day |
Both clients were sold on Meta instant lead forms, then the plan moved to a proper landing page funnel built in Perspective. Build & Co's funnel is now published, Holgate's is still a draft. Which destination each campaign points at changes the optimisation goal, the pixel setup and the whole lead route, so settle that per client before you build a single ad set.
Hunt Visuals' current position: landing page funnel for both. The instant form assets still exist and are documented below so you can fall back if a funnel stalls.
Every Hunt Visuals lead campaign is built the same way. It has run on Kodama, Mindset, COMPND, ACG, Barefoot and Integrate. Deviate deliberately, not by accident.
| Setting | Value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Objective | OUTCOME_LEADS | Standard across every HV account |
| Budget level | Ad set (ABO), no CBO | Budget stays where it was put, no silent sharing |
| Optimisation | LEAD_GENERATION for instant forms, OFFSITE_CONVERSIONS on a Lead event for funnel traffic | Must match the destination |
| Placements | Facebook and Instagram only | Audience Network burns budget on junk placements |
| Audience | Broad, 18 to 65, Advantage+ audience on, no interest stacking | Local trades audiences are too small to slice |
| Geo | Custom pin plus radius, home and recent residents | Named towns leave gaps between them |
| Ad set count | One, until the offer is proven | Splitting a £40 day three ways never leaves the learning phase |
| CTA | SIGN_UP | BOOK_NOW is rejected on lead forms |
| Creative pattern | Three fixed headlines per client, identical on every ad. One video and one pain led primary text per angle | A winning ad then cleanly means a winning angle, not a winning headline |
Everything starts paused. Nothing spends until Lloyd has seen the build.
Solar panel installation, battery storage and electrical work. Family run, started by Dan's granddad over forty years ago, his father still works on jobs and his brother works on solar installs. Based in Shoreham, covering East and West Sussex. Accredited to all leading solar manufacturers. Twenty two five star Google reviews and no negative ones.
Capacity is two to three installs a week. They are currently doing one to two a month, so there is a lot of room before ads become a problem rather than a solution.
Reasonably wealthy Sussex homeowners who are smart with money. Motivated by energy independence, the cost of living and export tariff income. Most have been put off by pushy sales from the big national solar firms.
Priority area from the call: Worthing, Littlehampton, Brighton, Peacehaven, Saltdean and Newhaven. The build uses a Brighton pin with a 40km radius, which reaches every one of those plus Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Hassocks, Lewes, Shoreham, Lancing and Southwick.
Ad split is roughly ninety percent solar, ten percent battery storage. Main competitor to watch is AllSolarWorks, also trading as AllSparksWorks, who run around twelve Meta ads.

The old agency is still in the ad account. There are two legacy campaigns, "WBT Full Funnel LP" and "WBT Full Funnel LP v2", both set to £30 a day, both paused at campaign level. Their ad sets and most of their ads are still set to ACTIVE underneath, so the only thing stopping spend is the campaign switch. They target Horsham at 29km and Uckfield at 20km, which is the wrong end of the county for Dan. There is also an active legacy lead form on the page, 1575817653572734 "WBT Solar Installation Form", with zero leads. Archive or delete all of it so nobody flips the wrong switch.
Two pipelines both partly called Sales. gMpvMxYnO4u8v36UNdAl "Sales (Solar)" is the real seven stage one built for Dan. 5T8MSUa2P8HLD5bWJOD7 "Sales" is a four stage leftover from the snapshot. HV workflows are written against a pipeline named exactly Sales, so on this account a duplicated workflow will point at the empty leftover and Dan's leads will vanish into contacts. Either rename "Sales (Solar)" to "Sales" and delete the other, or hand edit the workflow. Pipelines can only be deleted in the UI.
Nothing has been built in this account by Hunt Visuals. The full spec is ready and scripted at ~/meta-ads/setup_holgate_campaign.py, which creates the campaign, ad set, lead form and a placeholder ad, all paused.

The 4 August shoot plan proposed three geographic ad sets: Mid Sussex inland, West Sussex coastal, and Brighton with East Sussex. The build is one ad set instead, because £40 a day split three ways is about £13 each and none of them would leave the learning phase. Split it once the offer is proven and the budget can carry £40 per set. The hook bank is already written in matching blocks, so the split is a copy of the ad set with a different pin, not a rebuild.
Dan's original decision on the call was no landing page at first, to keep friction low and maximise volume, with a page added later when the volume needed more qualification. The quiz funnel was built afterwards and supersedes that, but if you choose the instant form route, these are the questions.
Twelve angles are written and locked in ~/meta-ads/holgate_videos.json, matched to the twelve scripts from the 4 August Hassocks and Shoreham shoot. Nothing is edited or uploaded yet. Named angles include The Blackout, £180 Down to £20, Flat Roof, Getting Paid and Three Myths.
BUILD AND CO GROUP LTD, company number 17014687, registered at 94 Offington Lane, Worthing BN14 9RP. Previously traded as RJG. A carpentry led firm with around nine full time carpenters plus a hand picked, consistent set of subcontracted trades who turn up on every job. Twenty five to thirty people on site in total.
Rob personally runs project management, material sourcing, design input, trade coordination and client communication from start to finish. Every project gets its own WhatsApp group for updates, photos and video.
Homeowners who know what they want, can make a decision and will not change their mind halfway through. The best of them already have drawings or plans and just need a builder. Rob's words: if they have got plans and no builder, they need look no further.
Core area is Worthing, Shoreham, Southwick and Hove. Full radius runs Saltdean to Burgess Hill to Angmering.
Competitors: Cloud9 dominate Worthing, Roots Construction hold Shoreham and Portslade, and the merged Force One Homes / Sussex County Construction is the biggest threat, having taken roughly a million pounds of work Rob was close to closing. They take on too many jobs at once and the quality suffers, which is the gap to attack.
The goal is dual: brand awareness for the new Build & Co name, which is a rebrand from RJG, plus quality leads for large extensions.

The paused campaign points at an instant form. The Perspective funnel is now published and expects traffic. Pick one per campaign. If you go to the funnel, the ad set has to move from LEAD_GENERATION to OFFSITE_CONVERSIONS on a Lead event with pixel 1523736356190231 as the promoted object, and the funnel URL needs UTMs so Source populates in GHL.
Twelve angles written and locked in ~/meta-ads/buildco_videos.json. Nothing edited or uploaded. Named angles include Meet Rob, Rob's Home Transformation, Seadown School, Got Plans But No Builder, Been Let Down Before, Architect's Design Over Budget, Fixed Itemised Quote and Same Team Every Job.
Two real case studies were filmed and can carry the ads on their own: Rob's own multi phase home transformation for a client called Jade, and Seadown School, a double storey wraparound extension on a special educational needs school with acoustic rated rooms and fireproofing, delivered on schedule.
Identical for both clients and for every trades client after them. The names must match across accounts, because a workflow merge tag resolves by name, not by ID.
Everything rides in on the HV Template — Trades snapshot, pSBSbc9fFrbqdXeJcvZr. Four things are genuinely manual.
Meta writes the contact's own address into that field, so the next ad lead overwrites the project postcode. That is what the separate Project Postcode custom field is for.
The route is Perspective's native GoHighLevel app, not a generic webhook. One connection per funnel, authorised against a single sub-account. The authorisation is what routes the leads, so the biggest risk across several builds is connecting a funnel to the wrong sub-account. A misrouted lead lands silently in another client's CRM. Test each funnel on its own.
The field dropdown only offers email, firstName and the UTM parameters until the funnel has been published once, because the CRM schema is created on first publish. A draft has no schema for the integration UI to read. Hit Publish, then reopen the GoHighLevel dialog and the dropdown fills in.
| Funnel field | GoHighLevel field | Note |
|---|---|---|
email | Mandatory, already mapped | |
phone | Phone | |
name | First Name | Not Name. Name writes nothing. Whole name into First Name is deliberate |
tenure | Tenure | |
project_type | Project Type | |
current_stage | Current Stage | |
timing | Timing | |
postcode | Project Postcode | Never the built in Postal Code |
contact_consent | Consent Given | Only if you created the field |
| UTM Source | Source | Real attribution, keep it |
Delete the pre filled "Your first name / firstName" row. The funnel has no such field, so that row maps nothing. Under Tags, add quote-funnel, spelled identically in every account, no client name and no ampersand. Perspective creates the tag in GHL automatically.
The integration creates a contact, not an opportunity. Without this workflow the leads sit in Contacts and never reach the client's pipeline, which is the single most likely way the whole build quietly fails.
quote-funnelSubmit a real lead through the live funnel with a real email, real mobile and real postcode. An invalid email kills the entire push and Perspective does not tell you. info@test fails, and so does a fake phone number.
Every one of these has already cost us time on a real account.
A missing custom value is blank text. A mismatched tag means the workflow never fires. An unpublished funnel means the field mapping is empty. A renamed stage means no opportunity appears. You only ever find out from a real test lead.
Holgate's legacy campaigns are paused at campaign level with ACTIVE ad sets underneath. One click on the wrong switch starts £30 a day pointed at Horsham.
Use SIGN_UP. It is the only CTA that reliably passes on an instant form ad.
On Build & Co it produced a terracotta palette, a Raleway typeface, competitor names and testimonials, and described the company as hypothetical. None of it real. Correct the palette by hand every time.
Rename any of them in one client and the duplicated workflow breaks there, silently. Do not namespace the quote-funnel tag per client either. Sub-accounts are already isolated, so it buys nothing and breaks the trigger on duplication.
Build & Co, Earls Construction and ACG Builders are all Sussex builders in the same circles. Their funnels and their ads deliberately differ on mechanism, gating question, length, palette and close. Do not converge them.
Things that need a person, not a build step. Most of these are Lloyd's or the client's call.
